If you’re a guitarist in the DFW Metroplex, you’ve probably heard of Guitar Sanctuary. (If not, you’re in for a treat.) For those not in the know, Guitar Sanctuary is the store that all other music stores wish they could be. Great atmosphere. Great selection of fine guitars. Great staff. Great service. Great location. The list goes on and on…
Anyway, one of the cool things they do each month is to sponsor a “customer appreciation” night/a showcase for Guitar Sanctuary customers at the local watering hole, Zin Zen. It’s an opportunity for local musicians to be heard in a venue that, in it’s own way, is every bit as charming and relaxing as is Guitar Sanctuary. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be on the program for May’s showcase, starting at 7:30PM. I’ll get to play an abbreviated set of a half-dozen songs or so, likely mostly my originals. If you’ve not been to Zin Zen yet, that alone is worth the trip to McKinney. And, of course, there’s the whole ‘live music’ thing. So if you’re looking for something to do on a Thursday night in May, head on over to the showcase and say ‘Hi!’
