Brad grew up as a fifth-generation professional musician, in a family where Jazz and Latin music was heard more often than rock and country. As a result, he became as familiar with the Great American Songbook as he was his schoolbooks. Turning pro in his teens, Brad played virtually every kind of gig, from trios and combos, to big bands, all from behind the drum set. But it was his interest in songwriting, composing and arranging that spurred his interest in piano and keyboard instruments. Today, you’re likely to hear him play anything from a jazz classic to an original composition, influenced strongly by musicians as diverse as Bill Evans and Dave Brubeck to Joe Jackson and Steve Winwood.
